I've Got Sun In My Mind

I've started packing! And yes, I am going to on record as using, for the most part, the medium much-smaller luggage. I think that for this, trip, I will not be bringing too much. I found that if I put my mind to it, I can squeeze a lot of things in that smaller roll-on that I have, and I won't be wanting for things. I know I have brought enough things, and those should be enough. I don't think there will be theme parties like the ones we have at Atlantis, though I did bring a suit for the formal night. Even a necktie - Imagine that! We want to take one of those nice family pictures where we are all dressed up. Suitable for framing, you know. And yes I even fill a little bit of excitement now. I have the beginnings of a bad cold right now, and feel kind of miserable, but it would be quite nice to head south and have warm weather, and feel the salty air breeze, lay out under the sun. I brought my swimming trunks so and love the prospect of getting in the crystal blue waters.

Gabby arrived this evening and is staying midtown. He is with his sister, who will be deployed to Afghanistan next week, and is making this her last hurrah trip before she leaves. We are meeting tomorrow and he wants his tour around the city to be food-based: hitting Serendipity, Lombardi's, and all the famous food landmarks of New York City. I told him that I prefer Ray's Pizza over Lombardi's, but we'll see where he wants to go. He might have his heart set on it.
