'Tis Solstice

I have been sitting on this dilemma on whether to go with my brother on the Solstice Thanksgiving weekend. I had been unsure whether or not it would be wise for me to go as I have other plans swirling in my head. Well, it turns out that a decision was made for me, whether I like it or not. The whole family is now slated to be on the ship from November 21st to November 28th. My brother paid for our whole family to cruise the Western Caribbean that week, and our Thanksgiving Celebration (and my brother's Birthday Celebration) will be on-board. I guess I have no more choice now but to go. It sucks, right? Anyway, I am now very excited to go. I have sailed on the Solstice summer of last year, and she is a wonder, and Celebrity is my favorite line anyway so this should be a smashing time. It has three ports and three days at sea, which is a great mix of ports and relaxation. Plus the ports are great, so I have no complaints (as if I had any!) I am officially stoked.

Plus, I checked on the Cruise Critic boards and there are even some "family" going - a couple from Wilton manor, and a group of six from Dallas have posted saying they will be on-board. So this is sounding even better by the minute. I have been so used to go on gay cruises that I have now almost forgotten what a "regular" cruise feels like. I hope to at least meet them so I will not feel so alone when I am "stuck" there on my own.
