Yes, yes I know - my last "Christmas" message wasn't too Christmassy. I just get very affected when I get bad customer service. Ngiee. So today I made a conscious effort to be nicer, to be kinder, to be gentler. So on the train today, while I was reading on my kindle, this older black couple nudged me and started asking about how the Kindle works. So I went and had this long speech, giving them the pros and cons of it. They were very grateful, and I would venture to guess they had no idea that I was going to go on this long explanation, and after, they seemed to understand how the device worked. The older gentleman said that he was very interested in now, and maybe the older woman will be getting him one for Christmas. I figured it would be good to just give them an objective take on it, and I made sure that my explanation wasn't a "sales talk." I hope this was a very effective "good deed of the day."
This is the message of Christmas:
We are never alone.
