I had an HP computer that I had been using, and last year it just died. I tried turning it on one morning and it just wouldn't. That's when I started using Mac, and I never looked back. Jimmy told me he would fix it but I never had a chance to bring it to him. When I was packing my stuff, I packed it in one of the boxes, and yesterday when I finally unpacked the rest of my stuff, I plugged it in on a lark. Well, by golly Jesus, it started working again. I think ultimately the problem is that the battery is shot: it would only work when I have it plugged. Windows (and in this case Windows XP) is too much of a clunky operating system for me now, but I think I will use this as a back-up computer. Perhaps I will use it as the compter to digitalize the thousand of CDs I still have to transfer. But I am glad to find something working again. It must be the Mercury direct ! It only shows that once you go Mac, you'll never go back to Windows. I find that I am even using my iPad now more than ever. I know it sounds like I have been brainwashed by Jobs, but when you experience something that works, well, you start believing!
Even a small star shines in the darkness.
