Maybe it's a West Coast thang, but one thing I noticed here on the West Coast is that the sun comes up earlier. I wake up most mornings and the sun is shining brightly - I guess that's the thing about living in the desert. I must really be getting old because I don't mind it at all. Retirement mindset, anyone? I keep on telling my brother I have changed. In his mind, I still lead a fun-loving single lifestyle, when in reality, I have moved on from that a while back. I have mostly settled in, and now just crave a quiet existence.
It's upsetting, this thing in Egypt, but then maybe that's what the country needs for change to come through for the country. I have written about my disappointment when I went there. It's a beautiful country with the most beautiful pyramids, but the way the country was run. And now, I read the museums are being looted. It's quite sad, but hopefully something really good will coem out of this. There just has to.
